Can we touch that future right now? Let's play. Let's imagine all technologies required are already at out disposal, and all that Digital Ether is coming to real at the moment.
What would happen in that future? What tools — artifacts from the future — could help us cope with upcoming events.
Imagine next generation of electronic paper connected to the Web. Something like iPhone, but much slicker, and -- much cheaper. We call these devices Origami cards. Given a low price, people would want to have more than one card, eventually they'll end with a plenty of cards, with a deck of cards. They'll share it with other people, giving away and receiving cards as easily as you do the same with paper sheets today.
Origami cards will become not a personal device, but a communication medium. For example, you feel sick and are visiting a doctor. It issues you a diagnosis, — and you are receiving Origami card, which contains not only a diagnosis, but a full Health Record. You could turn this card at drugstore and buy necesary stuff. It will also remind you to take the pill.
How would you use these Origami cards by yourself? Which cards you want to have at hand, in your pocket? What would happen next in the future of Digital Ether — and how would you use Origami card to cope with that.
These questions were starting point of our game — now you can observe it results.
